This is a detached house with 3 Bedrooms, located in Cumnock and New Cumnock Wards of East Ayrshire District, Scotland.
The property will be refurbished to the highest standard and with the highest care and attention to detail. The refurb team had the smart idea to recycle the wood chips which have now been laid on the new border on the gable end. Initial fencing work as started, and the front has been cleared in preparation for a new drive. Massive amount of graft in this in rainy and freezing conditions - with the posts being secured in big clumps of concrete/brick. The rear space has really opened up with removal of the tree.
Inside the old kitchen has gone and the ply boards removed from the internal wall as per the architect’s concept and technical designs. You can really see the new layout for the first time and the emergence of the multi-functional kitchen/dining/living space. Upstairs, the wall boards are sheeted and ready for plastering.
The team has made great progress working around the issue with the concrete/asphalt floor - and they’ve found another builder who can repair the floor
A new fresh approach to 8LC refurbshment.
Our new team is starting from the ground up, demolishing the existing structure and reconstructing it with modern features like energy efficient insulation. This allows us to move quickly through the construction phase and improve the energy performance certificate.
A large amount of concrete and asphalt will have been cleared away in order to uncover the full extent of the issue. This task is a difficult one, however, it is necessary to guarantee that the infrastructure is secure and dependable. Additionally, the builder and architect have worked hand in hand to establish a solution to the structure of the new floor.
The elimination of a floor-breaking chimney and another skip full of trash, gives more space in both rooms. The asbestos was removed by the asbestos removal service. The demolition of the upstairs has been completed, repaired the loft area where the previous chimney had been, and sealed off the roof.
The video shows the floor before the cement being poured in. Also Upstairs it’s all wired. All the plasterboard that is near complete. Tapeing and filling is started so plasterboard will be completed.
Got almost all ceilings and walls framed.
The next step will be to install the electrical cables and plumbing pipes. Once those are in place, the walls and ceilings can be sheeted with drywall to complete the framing. Then it will be ready for the kitchen to be fitted.
